The Green Palette Kitchen may now reside in Southport, CT, but its roots go back to my tiny NYC apartment years ago. After graduating from culinary school, I began helping people heal their physical and emotional health through food, translating nutrition into everyday meals that are easy, nourishing, and delicious.
Over the years, my kitchen has moved with me—from my home kitchen in Connecticut to a beautifully renovated warehouse space where I now teach virtual and in-person cooking classes. But my philosophy has always remained the same: food is powerful medicine. It nourishes the mind, body, and soul—and most importantly, cooking should be fun, approachable, and empowering.
At Green Palette Kitchen, we bring healthy cooking and wellness education into the workplace through engaging online cooking classes, hands-on corporate events, and expert-led webinars. Whether we’re cooking together or discussing the latest in menopause and midlife nutrition, my goal is to help employees feel confident, energized, and well.
My official titles range from clinical nutritionist to healthy cooking instructor to corporate wellness speaker. More importantly, I’m a busy professional, a mom, and a woman who understands the challenges of balancing work, life, and well-being. I believe deeply in the connection between food and health—and I know firsthand how important it is to fuel our bodies in ways that support energy, focus, and longevity.
As a culinary nutritionist, I don’t just talk about healthy eating—I love to show people how to make simple, nourishing food taste incredible so they actually want to come back for more. My philosophy is that food is medicine, but it should also be joyful, delicious, and accessible.
I fell in love with cooking as a way to translate nutrition science into real-world habits, and nothing brings me more fulfillment than helping others do the same. Whether through hands-on cooking classes, workplace wellness programs, or expert-led webinars, I empower companies and individuals to eat well, feel well, and thrive.

Heather Carey, MS, is a clinical nutritionist, whole foods chef, and corporate wellness speaker with a specialty in midlife and menopause nutrition. Through Green Palette Kitchen, she helps companies support their employees’ well-being with science-backed nutrition education, hands-on cooking experiences, and expert-led wellness programs.
Heather holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, one of the nation’s top programs in the field. She is also a trained chef from The Natural Gourmet Institute, the premier cooking school for health-supportive cuisine. With a deep passion for food as medicine, she translates nutrition science into practical, real-world strategies that help individuals and workplaces thrive.
